Your safety is our priority and Maalems will work alongside everyone within our community to ensure best safe practice whilst maintaining as high as possible service standards to help you on your move.
Interacting with strangers during these times we understand can cause a degree of anxiety, but be assured that Maalems shall be doing everything possible to mitigate such concerns. We have adapted our business practice accordingly to reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmission.
Whilst every client, property and situation must be assessed individually, below are some details of how interaction within our industry will be conducted for the foreseeable future.
General
Maalems staff to be instructed to self-isolate if they show any symptoms of Covid-19.
We will conduct due diligence checks on customers in advance as we must not permit contact with any person showing symptoms of Covid-19.
Social Distancing will be obtained.
Where necessary, protective clothing, masks, gloves etc, will be worn.
All face to face contact whilst observing the above must be by prior appointment only.
Property Viewings – by appointment only.
All initial viewings of property must be conducted virtually.
Subject to individual circumstances and safety, where physical viewings are subsequently desired, the above General conditions must be observed.
Patience is requested where circumstances dictate physical viewings are not possible, for example, where the occupier of the property is self-isolating. However, interest will be conveyed and Maalems will arrange a physical viewing at the earliest opportunity.
There will be no open days or simultaneous viewings as strict measures to limit the number of people entering a property must be adhered to.
Clients will not be driven to viewings and will need to meet at the property they wish to view.
Owners and Tenants will be asked to vacate their property while a viewing is conducted to minimise the risk of contamination.
We will ask viewers to sanitise their hands prior to the viewing and will request to the best of their ability to not touch any surfaces on the viewing. To assist we will ask the occupier of the property to also leave all internal doors open.
Property Valuations
In the first instance Maalems strongly encourage over the phone valuations which where possible can be assisted with the aid of a video tour, photos or a video call.
Should the vendor/landlord show no symptoms of Covid-19 we can carry out a valuation in person whilst adhering to the general rules above. Individual circumstances will be assessed to ascertain the best approach.
